Nitrotec - The Facts
Specialist Corrosion Protection and Wear resistance:
For many design and specialist engineers, Nitrotec is an anti-corrosion and anti-wear surface treatment - which delivers a great finish. The dramatic increase in wear resistance, also allows cost savings and other benefits to be delivered. This is especially true for metals used in very difficult environments - for instance, 4WD vehicle suspension hubs.
Nitrotec is an ideal anti-corrosion surface treatment if you seek to minimise weight, maximise strength, and expect the component to be used in harsh environments, possibly for long periods of time. The hard coating of Nitrotec is extremely corrosion resistant, has an excellent black finish, resists wear, and is an advanced form of Nitro-Carburising.
Over recent years, in addition to the corrosion and wear resistance benefits, the importance of an environmentally friendly process has aided our clients achieve excellent component performance, with low environmental impact - for some, this has also meant that the appearance of black finished metals and steels has become a much more accepted and attractive finish.
Nitrotec can be an ideal surface treatment if you seek to minimise weight, maximise strength, and expect the component to be used in harsh environments, possibly for long periods of time.
The Nitrotec treatment is closely related to Nitrocarburising (or Nitrocarburizing) processes that deliver types of surface hardness for specific purposes.
Sometimes these named references are shortened to "Nitrocarb" or "Nicarb" or "Ni-carb" processes.
From October 2022 we have had to add a surcharge to our invoices because our suppliers have passed extra and variable costs on to us, without notice. The surcharges are changed every month by our supplier.
See our contact page for current surcharge levels.

Non Toxic Process
Nitrotec does not use heavy metals within the process. There are no dangerous metals or minerals used in the process, or that remain on the part after the process.
Our licensed and protected process is one that is used around the world to deliver excellence of function, whilst using an environmentally friendly process.
